  15. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
  16. --------------------
  17. Jailbird requires that the computer have at least a VGA monitor and card, 
  18. and a mouse. It should operate under virtually any memory configuration, 
  19. but 512k is recommended. DOS v2.1 or higher.
  20.  
  21. INSTALLATION: 
  22. -------------
  23. The installation routine included with this package will test for the above 
  24. minimum requirements. If it discovers that your system does not meet any of 
  25. these requirements, it will simply stop and exit without taking any action.

  27. If you have obtained this product on a floppy disk, simply place the disk in 
  28. your floppy drive and type A:INSTALL (or B:INSTALL if approprirate) and press 
  29. [ENTER].

  31. If you have obtained this product in a ZIP archive format, you should first 
  32. extract the files from the ZIP archive into a "temporary" subdirectory on your 
  33. hard disk drive (i.e. C:\TEMP). Then you should switch to that temporary 
  34. subdirectory, type INSTALL, and then press [ENTER].

  36. The installation utility will then install the program files and necessary 
  37. documentation to a "permanent" subdirectory on your hard drive (i.e. 
  38. C:\JBIRD). Once the installation is complete and you have verified that the 
  39. program loads and operates, you may delete all of the installation files from 
  40. the temporary subdirectory.
